I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

As the two fighters participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
