Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot showcasing celestial beings, evil spirits, and sinister influences increasing in strength within the city.
Warning: Revealing details for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Warrior Group Introduced
Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of characters who will branch out from the central cast to begin their separate journey, separate from the remaining groups.
This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (played by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
Why Split the Party?
With 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Schemers, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Soldiers Table
According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear out of place, but the developments of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.
Reasons to Leave
First, the team understands precisely where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.
Casimir then paid off his debts and fled to a secure base in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:
- Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, desires retribution.
- The adventurer is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a hostile location.
- The warrior and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the team access areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, Teor vowed a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- The warrior and The cleric betrayed the influential house and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.
This leaves them little choice but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of the antagonist.

From episode three’s Cooldown, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Questers and Strategists parties.
